THE GREEN MAN

Voice of the Forest

Spoken Word Theater Production
THURSDAY May 21 | 7:30 PM
Paradiso | Santa Fe, NM
TICKETS

A journey into the voice and messages of the Green Man, the embodiment of wild nature. Moving through his incantatory praise anthems of earth, his didactic admonitions of humanity, his cryptic myths and tender verses, the listener is brought on a voyage out of the city and down into the dark soil of the forest, the realm of soul and mystery and awe.

An opening set will warm the evening as musician Nick Davidson shares his earthy acoustic fingerpicking and slide guitar tunes rooted in folk music.

“If we will have the wisdom to survive,

to stand like slow growing trees

on a ruined place, renewing it, enriching it…

then a long time after we are dead

the lives our lives prepare will live here.”

—Wendell Berry
